I have been a client of Andrea's for many years on an "as needed" basis and also through a couple of periods of specific, focused therapy. Andrea is kind, compassionate, supportive, and highly educated in her profession. She is a natural researcher and keeps up with new findings and perspectives on many subjects in her field.
I find her to be open minded and accepting of diverse ways of thinking and she respects people for who they are with no negative judgements or preconceptions.
I have had EMDR therapy with her for C-PTSD and have experienced a dramatic resolution to the problem. It took time and tenacity to work through it, but Andrea was positive, dedicated, and directed and helped me achieve the level of comfort and stability that I now enjoy.

I wasted five years and who knows how many thousands of dollars here and made absolutely zero progress. Ironically, in spite of a big part of the reason I first arrived here being to learn how to take accountability, she seemed to let me off the hook for some of my worst behavior; including not making me pay for two sessions that I irresponsibly missed. Now that I've seen a therapist that actually worked, the hindsight just gets more and more grim. I have searched, and searched to find any possible justification for not referring me elsewhere after it was very obvious to anyone with eyes that I did not improve one little bit (possibly got worse) after one year, let alone five. I cannot come up with one. I do not believe she is inept as a therapist, I believe there is a good reason for the other 5-star reviews here, but the CBT approach was certainly NOT for me. Just proceed with caution.
